Dante Duval Barfield MA, NCC, LPC
Director of EAP
Dante obtained his Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus in Marriage, Family, and Couples Therapy from The College of New Jersey and has also completed a post graduate trainings focused on trauma informed care, evidence based practices, resilience, self-empowerment, and EMDR.

Dante utilizes a very genuine and calming presence with implementation of mindfulness skills and meditation tools to help clients develop a clear sense of here and now. Dante utilizes a multicultural approach in working directly with a diverse population who come from the LGBTQ community, people of color, inner cities, young adults in life’s transition and substance use/addiction challenges.

Dante’s background encompasses harm reduction practices, family systems, and narratives. He believes everyone has a story and within our stories hold connections to the relationships that have helped us thrive and falter. Dante focuses on helping people narrate their own story and implement tools such as EMDR to help people get “unstuck” from the memories that have kept us trapped. You are your own healer; Dante thrives to help you find your path.
