Lameeka Askew
Lameeka received her masters from the New York University Silver School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has primarily provided clinical services to individuals of color who have experienced trauma. With a focus on institutionalized racism, separation, and insecure attachments.
Lameeka utilizes a multi-faceted theoretical approach to treatment that includes crisis response, trauma-focus therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as solutions focus and family systems therapy.
Lameeka has worn many hats throughout her career. She has worked in the private and public sector as an Individual Care Coordinator, a Psychotherapist, a Behavioral Health Children and Adolescent Inpatient Social Worker, a Children Behavioral Health Advocate, and a New York City Department of Education School Response Clinician.
Lameeka’ s practice focuses on providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults battling issues surrounding ADHD, ODD, PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety.
