GRADUATE STUDENT

CLINICAL PROGRAM

MTR Therapy prides itself in providing an affirming space for graduate level students to begin developing their clinical skills in a private practice setting. Our clinical program focuses on providing culturally affirmative psychotherapy services rooted with a social justice lens. We aim to give students the experience and skills needed to provide services to all populations MTR Therapy serves with a special focus on LGBTQIA+ and underserved communities.

Students will gain competency in working with diverse populations, develop a baseline of trauma-focused care, and engage in anti-racism work. Students are expected to uphold the core values and mission of MTR Therapy and maintain a caseload consistent with their graduate program requirements. Students are expected to attend weekly supervision, in service trainings and professional development activities, and all staff meetings.

Interested students must be enrolled at an accredited university in a social work, counseling, or psychology program. Students must be in good academic standing with their institution and be either a second-year student, or in advanced standing with clinical experience due to the rigorous clinical expectations of the program. We are committed to the development of the next generation of psychotherapists.

Qualified students should send their resumes and cover letter to clinicalplacement@mtrtherapy.com. No phone calls please.
